When I first invoke wine on ubuntu 10.04, it creates a windows installation by copying files from /usr/lib/wine/fakedlls to $WINEPREFIX
This takes up a lot of memory in my live usb system that lacks a hard drive.
Can I replace those files under $WINEPREFIX with symbolic links?
can I save space by using symbolic links?
Re: can I save space by using symbolic links?
Yep.
Picasa did something very similar.
