pepkaura 3 wont run in wine and I'm a noob

Here's the skinny. Im new to linux, ubuntu, wine, everything. but im learning as i go. Biggest issue right now is I cant run Pepakura designer , and its the only program that does what it does. I know that this topic has been posted before, but from what i can tell, know one has found and answer. Or atleast I cant understand what im reading enough to know if they have found an answer.
What happens? After installing pepakura through wine, I try to run it and I get and "ERROR" message. thats it. Not much to go on. The program and wine then shutdown. I will post some pictures to explain better. But I have no idea what im doing, someone with patience please help me.

Pepakura is a free program from tamasoft. Can anyone help me out. If you need anything else from me, just let me know how to retrieve the information you may need

It starts ok in a properly-built wine-1.5.10.

Initially, with wine-1.4, it didn't run, and I got
dialogs saying "DIB Init Failed" and "Rendering Context Create Failed".
It also didn't run with wine-1.5.10, and the console showed the warning

err:dib:dibdrv_wine_get_wgl_driver OSMesa not compiled in, no OpenGL bitmap support

I fixed that by installing libosmesa6-dev and rebuilding.

What does
wine --version
say? If it's not wine-1.5.10 or so, your wine might be too old.

Can you post the console log from your run? See

If that "OSMesa not compiled in" error happens, your wine was built improperly.

I am running wine 1.5.10. I ran "sudo apt-get install libosmesa6-dev" from the terminal and it seems to have worked. now what do you mean by "rebuilding". im going to uninstall pepakura 3 and try reinstalling it. I also viewed the log that showed after the program failed, but I dont know what it says, and/or how i could put that on here. it was very long.

So now i have installed the -dev file you recommended,but that didn't fix it. So I uninstalled and reinstalled wine 1.5, and it still didnt work, and reinstalled pepakura 3.1 to no avail. now what? Please keep in mind, I have absolutely no idea what im doing. still not sure what you meant by Rebuilding

Hi supramp,

Dan obviously compiled wine from source, therefore "rebuild". Do you have libosmesa (without "-dev") already installed? Your Ubuntu is 32 bit? Your graphics card is integrated intel? Using latest drivers?

Installing the dev package installs the binary, so he probably has it.

It's sad that the addition of the crash log window has made getting crash logs easier,
but getting normal logs harder.

Ok, It took me a while to realize that the log i was running was being output to a .txt file on my desktop. I must have run it 15 times before i gave up and noticed it sitting their. I expected it to show up in the terminal. I am such a noob. Here's the log:

If you're using the Ubuntu package, you should file a bug for this with Ubuntu. You can't fix the package yourself.
