There seems to be some Ivy Bridge errors with CPU extensions not being detected as available correctly. I wanted to look into it some, but before I do... i was wondering if the following is actually a fix for that in git that should be available soon in release...
ok to answer my own question, and to anyone else having problems with error messages about your CPU on an Ivy Bridge... the answer is Yes, this patch I linked does indeed fix the problem... I just tested it.
