Hello, I'm (I were) running TF2 on my Linux Mint 13 installation with no problems with wine 1.5.7
Then, yesterday this: http://www.teamfortress.com/pyromania/
was released and broke my TF2 installation. If I run it with -novid option the only thing I can get is the sound. Everything in the interface is non-visible, even if I can still click the buttons without seeing them. If I run it in Virtual desktop the same thing happens, I see the steam window (it is transparent) and not the menus. Please help me

I just checked the logs in terminal and I noticed a spam of this:
fixme:d3d9:d3d9_device_PresentEx iface 0x1769f0, src_rect (nil), dst_rect (nil), dst_window_override (nil), dirty_region (nil), flags 0 stub!
and I found a workaround, I started tf2 with -dxlevel 81 and the menu is visible (didn't checked ingame yet) and the error is also gone.
This should set the directx level to 8.1 and as far as i know you have to run tf2 with this 1 time and it stays in dx 8.1 however when i deleted from the launch options the menu didn't show up again.
I tested in-game. The game works but the dxlevel 81 is really horrible. And the pyrovision goggle (and I think even the other objects that put you in the pyro world) don't work as expected. The world is the same, are changing only the medkits, the ammo and the water, that makes this horrible bug: http://img14.imageshack.us/img14/6093/s ... 628112.png
That's all. Pretty crappy at the moment. Waiting (if it's possible) for a fix.
It doesn't help so much.... or maybe is because I had -dxlevel 81 before and the textures can't be changed? Textures are still horrible and there is still the water bug.

As I said, dxlevel should be a one time change, so it stay on dx 8.1 just change back to dx 9 with dxlevel 90.
