You need a compiler, and likely, most other dependencies. See:

that page doesnt work i read the instructions for 64 bit installation and downloaded all dependencies listed. i tried using the yum install wine but when i tried to install shadowbane it didnt work, so i figured i need to follow those directions instead for wine to work, also ive ran the ./configure command before without a problem

You have to have 32-bit compat libraries. Wine is 32-bit only.

Looks like that list missing "glibc-devel.i386". Did you installed that?

error compiling fc9 x64

Post by fabian büttner »

I compiled it under fc9 x64.
It's true what vitamin is saying. You need glibc-headers.i386 or
glibc-devel.i386. I don't remember.
However, why don't you install the package from the test-updates
repository?
