AION EU<>US

Is there any way to run the US version of AION on Linux?


AFAIK there is no way to run the NCLauncher via wine (installing NCL+AION on windows is no option), but I'm running the F2P-version from Gameforge, which works fine.

For Windows-users there obviously is a way to make a US-version an EU-version via NCLauncher (http://www.aionsource.com/topic/14426-a ... to-aioneu/), so the client has to be pretty much the same.

I tried to simply connect to the US-authentification-server, by switching
[...]aion.bin -ip:79.110.83.80 -port:2106[...] to
[...]aion.bin -ip:206.127.147.28 -port:2106[...], but I only get a timeout...I created an account for the american servers at NCSoft, but it of course does not work on EU-login.


The only difference in-game between both versions seems to be, that US is "Truly free", while EU is "Free-to-play" (and pay-to-win^^).

Ok, the IP I got from these forums is obviously wrong, with -ip:64.25.35.103 I can actually log into my account and got the list of US gameservers.

However, when choosing a server, nothing will happen for a minute or two, and then the game shuts down. The game prompts something like "Disconnected from gameserver", while a terminal won't show any error messages.



I got no idea, why this would happen, but I tend to think there's some additional region code I have to change in Aion's configs - anyone solved this issue already?

I renamed aion.bin to aion.exe and it let me into the game. I used qtwine to add the arguments for the ip port number ect. hope this helps

Nope, it doesn't.
I can start the game (EU+US), I can log into the game (EU+US), I can play - but only on EU servers, when trying to log into US gameservers, I get disconnected.

I use the correct -ip-Argument for EU/US login-servers and the argument -cc:1 for US and -cc:2 for EU...but it won't let me onto the gameservers...

You have to register an account on the US website to play on US servers.
