Several drum machines do not work

Post by wine0o »

Hammerhead does not work, despite the fact that it was listed as working many years ago. Here's the link to the download:

I also couldn't get Drumbox to work:

I also tried the d-lusion Drumstation without success:

They all work fine in Windows XP. Do I need to have the .exe file in a special place of the directory before executing? Is there some special sound driver I need? These drum machines do not need ASIO and I also installed Soundplant (also a sound utility) without problems.

What version of Wine? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade. If it doesn't work in current Wine, post terminal output. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

This is really interesting.

I don't know how to compile software, but I got them to work on another computer (except for the d-lusion drum machine, which didn't work) with Ubuntu/Mint derivatives on 1.1.* and 1.3.* versions, although they didn't with slightly lower versions of 1.1 and 1.3 with another distro.

I did find a package of 1.5, I guess I'll try that one too.
