I've been working with Corel's WordPerfect v12 under wine for quite some time
and now I want to install a service pack, the service pack has a .msp file
extention.

Wine does nothing with that - so how do I install files with a .msp file
extention?

This stands for Microsoft Installer Patchfile, so preferably you have to use the Microsoft Installer.

Try opening it with "wine msiexec filename.msp"
