My Sound Doesnt work for sims 3

When i run sims 3 it runs fine but the sound works for 3 mins ,then it either plays very fast like 10000 faster or it would just stop.

Any Suggestions????

Hi,

please upgrade to the latest wine release, if you haven't already (a new release is due today). Are you using pulseaudio? Post terminal output. If it still shouldn't work properly, please file a bug. One of the release goals of the upcoming wine 1.4 release is revamped sound support, so there's a really good chance, that your bug will almost immediately be fixed, the unfulfilled dream of many other wine users

In addition to upgrading Wine as lahmbi5678 said, if you are using PulseAudio, make sure you have the latest version of that and alsa-plugins installed.

I have installed both pulse audio and alsa mixer, got the new wine version 1.4rc5 still getting that horrible sound
