Wine drive configuration file
Wine drive configuration file
Hi all!
I've tried for three hours to find where winecfg keeps the path of the
fake drives; oppositely to what the documentation says, is not in the
registry. Can please someone help me? (i need to create a fake drive
just for an application and then remove it; i could do it with a bash
script if i find the config file for that...)
Cheers,
Stefano

Looks like my link to the cdrom is messed up on the default profile.
Ignore that.

Wine drive configuration file
I've already tried to create a new symlink and to remove the existing
ones, but it does not affect wine... When i run winecfg it brings me all
back to the previous configuration.

Re: Wine drive configuration file
It shouldn't, and doesn't here. Just a thought: do you have more than one wineprefix, and if so, are you sure the wineprefix where you created the symlinks is the same one you ran winecfg for?Spazzatura.Live wrote:I've already tried to create a new symlink and to remove the existing

Also, what version of Wine are you using? If it's not the latest development release, upgrade.

Your cdrom drive is related to two different devices. Open winecfgI installed the convertxtodvd wine and he does not find my cdrom. My DosDevice is as follows:
drwxrwxr-x 2 4096 03/21/2012 08:14 renato renato.
drwxrwxr-x 4 renato renato 4096 03/21/2012 08:14 ..

lrwxrwxrwx 1 renato renato 10 03/21/2012 08:01 d: -> / dev / cdrom
lrwxrwxrwx 1 renato renato 10 03/21/2012 08:14 :: f -> / dev / cdrom
and see if it is related to both d: and f:. If so, remove the f:
entry.
