App Right Fax with wine 1.3.20

Hello, intent run Right Fax with wine 1.3.20. This app is a client for send and receive fax. The installation is god but to run app failed. In the path /drive_c/Archivos de programa/RightFax/Client/English the installed two binary FAXCTRL.exe and fuw32.exe. The FAXCTRL.exe appear work god but fuw32.exe no work.

Intent run fuw32.exe (./wine fuw32.exe) display error window :

No fax software will work on Wine. All of the RAS layer that is required for FAX programs is missing from Wine.

Your best bet is to use some native Linux program instead.

I agree. I'd love to see some fax software on Wine sooner rather than later.

I agree. I'd love to see some fax software on Wine sooner rather than later.

The proper thing to do is to find a Linux Fax Printer driver for your
fax device and use that. I know the capabilities of Right Fax and would
be very grateful if its developers created a Linux version, but suspect
that will be a long, long time in coming. Maybe you could contact
OpenText and see what they can do.

Things haven't changed much / at all in that area over the past number of years. And I'm not aware of anyone actively working on RAS subsystem.

Just use scanner / camera & e-mail. Let obsolete technology rest in peace.
