Hi all!

I have tried to run interactive cd-rom that accompanies face2face english books and my Log.txt shows this. I am not able to run it at all. Any help please?

Posting additional information:

Running openSUSE 11.4, wine 1.3.12. I did not do any changes to setting at all.

Upgrade. Latest Wine is wine-1.3.32.

Thank you. I have updated to version 1.3.31. I do not know how to update to the newest version. openSUSE is very new to me, I have migrated from win xp only 3 days ago. I have used this repositories to install wine, and it installed only 1.3.31 version (http://download.opensuse.org/repositori ... SUSE_11.4/)

Apparently, the log message changed, it shows:

Thank you. I have updated to version 1.3.31.

This won't work, it has regression that breaks lots of programs. If repository you are using doesn't have wine-1.3.32 then wait for it. Or use daily build.

Actually looking at this again, this is MSDAC. Install it with 'winetricks mdac27'.

Installed winetricks, and run command winetricks mdac27. After that mdac27 was installed. I have tried this command one more time "mdac27 already installed, skipping"

I installed the application and I got this kind of log message:

I am not using Linux any more. I am not able to run Microsoft compatible applications, which I need to earn money to support my family.

FYI, I commented on this before and it is in the forums. Googling for
the affected CLISD found my post at:
http://www.winehq.org/pipermail/wine-us ... 87729.html
which reveals this is a failure to install the VAIEC.DLL file from
Visual Studio 6.

Right, that one's harmless.

The face2face problem has been reported before,
http://bugs.winehq.org/show_bug.cgi?id=23715
but nobody's looked too hard at it yet.

The home page appears to be

but the CD is dated 2005 or so, and the only demo there uses Adobe AIR,
which is a lot newer. (And has it's own bug, which I'm filing now.)
