My game has started freezing up when using Wine.

Post by misfire68 »

I downloaded Wine 1.2 a few days ago so that I could play a game called Wonderland Online. It worked fine for one day. The 2nd day my update manager asked to install updates and since installing them I can't play my game.

I run Ubuntu 10.10. As I stated I installed Wine 1.2 and it worked fine with Wonderland Online that first day. (www.wl.igg.com is the website for the game that I play. I followed the instructions according to the forum there. Here is the link for that as well: http://forum.wl.igg.com/viewthread.php? ... ght=Ubuntu). A day later I had to run updates for my Ubuntu. Now I get my game freeze up and an error message.

First I get this screen:

Then comes this one:

If I hit the next button the game still tries to load but it not only freezes the game but my notepad mouse no longer works. Here is the printscreen:

If any of these printscreens you cannot see; I apologise. I don't really know that I have added these correctly.

I would really like to get this resolved as soon as possible. It is the only way I can have interaction with my niece in America since I moved to the UK.

Thanks

Can't see images - that place requires login. Please post complete terminal output of running your program as described here: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

Ok I must be really dumb with this because I can't get that working. I followed the instructions according to the FAQ and I keep getting "no such file or directory". I've even looked at the properties for the .exe file and typed in the same command line but it still says no such file or directory! I don't know what else to do.
