Steam day of defeat freeze

Hi guys..
I have a problem...i installed steam with no problems.
After that i downloaded Day of Defeat and installed it with no problems.
When i launch it and join a server,5min later my window freezes.
I cant even go back to the dektop,i have to restart my computer!

p.s sorry for my bad english!

Ah i forgot something..when iam in the game...the mouse is still in the middle of the screen..and the cursor wobbles..

How about providing some information as the Sticky asks you to do:

OS, distribution and version?
Wine version?
Video card and drivers?

BTW, have you tried reinstalling the drivers or can you exit out of X
and shut down Wine?
