Autocad with Wine

Post by aleferik »

Hello to everyone..
I have to use Autocad lt 2000 for work, but in my office I have windows7, that is incompatible with autocad 2000... then I tought to a very long but maybe good way:
I will install virtualbox and, on the virtualized side I'll install ubuntu, that can run Autocad by Wine..
Can you explain how to install wine for autocad?
Thank you!!

Before you go and do this, please be aware that most versions of AutoCad
are rated Garbage, that means they do not run, in Wine.

http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... ion&iId=86

is the AutoCad Applications Database page.

There is no entry for AutoCad 2000 Light (lt) there, but you might want
to look at what does and does not work.

Autocad has to be purchased from AutoDesk.

I would suggest downloading the latest 'development' version of Wine, 1.3.27.
