running existing windows programs in wine

Post by Bane »

I have an existing windows installation in dual-boot with archlinux. I'd really like to be able to run some windows programs within arch without rebooting, but I'm installed on an SSD so space is limited.

How can configure wine to run my programs from my windows partition within arch linux? I've been google searching for an answer to little avail.

Thanks for any help!

This is highly not recommended. Wine can damage your Windows partition, rendering your Windows install unbootable. And most programs won't work anyway, as they create special registry entries during install, which can not be read by Wine.

I think the question should be:

How can I link the Program Files directory on Windows to the Program
Files directory on Wine. You can but we don't support this as vitamin
said and doing so is outside the scope of the Wine project.
