Hello everyone interested is there any application that can run on this phone. When I installed wine application on my phone(n900) was written in the description:
This version of is built for the ARM cpu and can NOT run i386 native WINDOWS applications.Only ported Windows applications compiled for ARM will work
The problem is where to find these applications

There are probably hardly any, unless someone decided to port their Windows application to this very specific Wine architecture. But since there isn't much reason for most people to do that, they probably didn't.
http://wiki.winehq.org/ARM contains a fair bit information, including a workaround to get regular Wine working on ARM. Now the issue becomes whether you can get QEMU for your platform. After that, your app may work slowly or not at all (test it in regular Wine first!), so consider if it's worth all the effort.

Wow, didn't know Wine on ARM already get's packaged! Great!
i guess you used the package from:
http://maemo.org/packages/view/wine/
first thing you can to is to wait for Win8 that will maybe bring some ARM executables.
you can also generate such applications yourself in case something like "wine wordpad" already works on your phone (yes wine has its own wordpad "builtin").
you will need the source for the app you want to run and the following guide ( outdated a bit )
http://www.winehq.org/docs/winelib-guide/index
Here is a list of known projects ( also outdated )

Thank you both for information.Looked somewhat extensive documentation wine project ,I am glad that there are so enthusiasts who really better navigate through the maze of Linux, unlike me,who take great trouble to make available a part of everyday applications that run under windows

Well, a lot of everyday applications probably exist under Linux, so the only reason to run Windows equivalents is because you can't get used to those.anrydisappear wrote:Thank you both for information.Looked somewhat extensive documentation wine project ,I am glad that there are so enthusiasts who really better navigate through the maze of Linux, unlike me,who take great trouble to make available a part of everyday applications that run under windows
Now, I'm not saying that you do. I'm thinking you should just use Wine where it feels more necessary. Especially when it's about a mobile device where there's very little guarantee it will work as well as desktop Wine. (Then again, since it's a mobile device, it might not have the software you're looking for at all; I wouldn't know.)
