Age of Mythology: what have you done???
Age of Mythology: what have you done???
Umm... well, Age of Mythology was playing platinum at version 1.3.22, but then I updated and the textures are all messed up.
Sorry to ask, but why the brutal change? And is it something I screwed up?

If you have not done so yet, uninstall and reinstall your video drivers,Umm... well, Age of Mythology was playing platinum at version 1.3.22, but then I updated and the textures are all messed up.

I gave that a shot, but the problem remains the same. Soon, when I get home I'll take a few pics to show you the problem. And it's olny happening with Age of Mythology; it is known that AoM only works with DirectX (no OpenGL mode available), and a few improvements on Wine's DirectX module have been added in this version... maybe it's because of that?tparker wrote:On 06/25/2011 01:43 PM, kffeine wrote:If you have not done so yet, uninstall and reinstall your video drivers,Umm... well, Age of Mythology was playing platinum at version 1.3.22, but then I updated and the textures are all messed up.

First check again with 1.3.22 to check that nothing else has changed and that something broken between 1.3.22 and 1.3.23. Then run a regression test and file a bug report: http://wiki.winehq.org/RegressionTestingkffeine wrote:Umm... well, Age of Mythology was playing platinum at version 1.3.22, but then I updated and the textures are all messed up.

I should add it will be most useful to developers when filing the bug report if you are able to reproduce the problem in a demo (then there's no need for someone looking at the regression to own the game). It appears a demo is available: http://download.cnet.com/Age-of-Mytholo ... 67912.html

Affirmative, I'll give that a try.asb wrote:First check again with 1.3.22 to check that nothing else has changed and that something broken between 1.3.22 and 1.3.23. Then finish regression testing to identify which patch broke it for you and file a bug in bugzilla. So developers will have all the data they need to fix the issue.kffeine wrote:Did the test with the previous version, and everything works perfectly. It's apparently a 1.3.23 issue. I'll file a bug immediately, if someone else would feel like...
