Gaming Sites Refuse to Load

Post by Wineexperiments187 »

:(

Exactly as the title says, A majority of online gaming sites and browser based mmo games refuse to load on to a mozilla browser with WINE installed.
Examples are
www.armorgames.com
www.freeonlinegames.com
www.bigpoint.com

What they do is they load a little bit so I can see the website, But then it freezes up and im forced to quit the session and start over again...with the same results...

Now Im not completely sure If wine has stated this problem and is attempting to resolve it, But if someoe can help me on this, That will be great.

P.S( I'm new at programming so I would prefer simple steps Thanks.)

Don't do this. If you have not received a reply there may be several
reasons:
1. No one can help you. Since most of the support here is purely
volunteer, we might not have the program you are using.
2. You are not using Wine, but are using a derivative like CrossOver.
You need to go to their support site and get help there (this includes
Play On Linux/Play on Mac.)
3. We are looking at the problem and trying to formulate a solution.
Since our hours are limited for working with Wine, this may take a few days.

Best thing for YOU to do. Repost the problem. What have you done to
attempt to solve it? If you used winetricks and installed IE7 state
so. If you installed FireFox 4 for Windows state so. Advise if you
have changed any settings in Wine. Provide your Linux distribution,
Version # or name, kernel version (if you know it), Video card and
drivers, amount of memory and the 'bitness' of your system (32 or 64,
Intel or AMD). All of these are valuable in troubleshooting. If you
are using a Mac, we need to know all of this as well as the current
patch level of your Mac.

Thank you.

Maybe I'm missing something obvious, but why are you using wine to
accomplish this? Most web-based games work fine under the Linux version
of the Adobe Flash plugin. I know I've played a number of games from
armorgames over on Kongregate, using the Linux-native versions of
firefox4 and flash.

Sorry For the Bump was acting Desperate...

Those Sites were just examples of places i couldn't get to with a windows mozilla and WINE combination

Im Using WINE because of a Unity Web Player, Some games Like Battlestar galactica online or Dead frontier online, Requires a Unity Web player for 3D gaming...

However... Unity Is still in the process of Developing a Player natively for Linux.
So... Im attempting to use the Unity Player through WINE and mozilla and get to the MMO websites that Use the Unity players.
But this problem About me not getting to those websites means I have Ran into some trouble.
