Post by liamdawe »

No idea what any of this means.

Seems a lot of games i try through wine crash on startup.

Here's what i got on the terminal output if anyone can shed some light.

First problem that most likely the reason why your games don't work.

This is reason for this specific game to crash. Use 'winetricks vcrun2008' as a workaround.

Wrong answer. All those native games are 64-bit. Wine requires 32-bit libopengl (part of the driver) to run 32-bit windows programs.

Hmm is there a way to sort this issue?

Have you done what vitamin advised you to do. You need to install,
through your Linux distribution, the 32 bit version of the OpenGL libraries.

I actually didn't know how so i installed the 32bit version of Ubuntu and it worked fine, it actually fixed another game so it was the issue.

For future reference what are the commands to install them for when i am on 64bit?

You will have to ask on the Ubuntu forums.
