Atlantica Online
Hello,
I've just moved to Ubuntu 11.04. I always reinstall the whole OS instead of upgrading. But now I've got the problem that I can't get Atlantica Online to work. It worked on Ubuntu 10.10 though.
I installed the new version (the Nexon one) and then tried the web launcher, but that didn't work. Then I went to the Atlantica directory and launched AtlanticaRun.exe, then I get to the patcher, but there are a lot of white spots. After some time I get this pop up: "Atlantica is currently under maintenance. Please try again later." But I think that it's just because it can't connect with my connection or something like that.
I also tried to reinstall the game but that didn't solved anything.
Someone else has this problem too or is there something who can help me?
Thank you in advance,
Culinax

I typed "wine AtlanticaRun.exe &> /tmp/log.txt 2>&1" in terminal and the log file says this:

The second 2>1& should not be needed. Try using this line without it.I typed "wine AtlanticaRun.exe &> /tmp/log.txt 2>&1" in terminal and the log file says this:
Did you change directories to where AtlanticaRun is installed?

Interesting as the &> should work on most modern versions of bash andYes, I think it's bash.

Update
I no longer use Ubuntu, I changed to Fedora 15 because I like Gnome 3 more than Unity.
I have the exactly same problem over here, the terminal output is also the same.
I've tried using it in an emulated desktop but that didn't work, changing wine to another Windows version doesn't work too.
I just tried to launch the game directly without loading the patcher first and then I got an error:

This isn't my image btw, I have some problems with uploading images to 'my favorite image hosting site'.
It's the same error message except that my program is: "Program: C:\Nexon\Atlantica\Atlantica.exe"
The title of that box is: "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library".
I used 'a search engine' and I found out that I have to install winetricks to solve this problem. I tried a lot of ways to install it but none of them worked...
Anyone can help me with this?

Although pictures look nice, we really need to obtain a logging file.Update

Okay, sorry.
So this this is the log file for Atlantica.exe: http://pastebin.com/jUbEULn5

I just remembered I didn't installed the latest drivers on this OS yet. I followed a guide on the fedoraforums about how to install that and that made Atlantica.exe work. But the patcher (AtlanticaRun.exe) still doesn't work, it keeps saying there's a maintenance. So I can launch the game directly from Atlantica.exe, but I can't play because it says I have to download the latest updates and I need the patcher for that...
I also have a new log file for AtlanticaRun.exe: http://pastebin.com/0ydUS0PW
Can you see a problem in there?

Sorry for not posting for some time, I have a lot of work for school, exams in a couple of weeks etc...
I updated to Wine 1.3.20 and that made Atlantica Online work temporarily.
When I launch AtlanticaRun.exe I have to quickly click on 'Auto Run' before the game crashes and then it starts normally.
No connection errors anymore.
But I said temporarily, with that I mean that when there'll be a patch, I won't be able to install it, because it crashes.
I made a new debug file (with 'Auto Run' disabled).

Anything wrong in here?

I have reinstalled Fedora 15 because there was something wrong after I had installed the drivers.
I have installed the drivers correctly now and everything else too.
Now I have an even longer log file.
http://pastebin.com/KjzCSP9i
I had to shut down AtlanticaRun.exe because it didn't go away (that are the last 200 line I think)

I've been able to solve that error by myself.
I did this in terminal: yum install xorg-x11-drv-nvidia-libs.i686 (Normally it installs the x86_64 one automatically)
Now the game works but I have the same problem as some weeks ago. The game itself works but the patcher doesn't. And as expected there is a patch so I can't play anymore now...
New log: http://pastebin.com/PfbhPpkX
I've already tried to replace dxdiagn.dll with one I had downloaded but that didn't solve it.
Anyone has an idea?
