What Wine version? If it's not at least wine-1.3.18 - upgrade.
Post complete terminal output. If it's too big, please use pastebin.

Run the program from the command line
(http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#run_from_terminal) and if an error occurs
capture it to a log file (http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log). Post
ONLY the URL that you receive from the pastebin site here so we can look
at it and make suggestions on possible work-arounds.

Can you run wine --version and report back what you get.

Please try to upgrade to 1.3.19. Mint may list this as wine-unstable
or wine-development.

Sad to say, but that is it given the information you gave us. How about
a log file to see what is happening and upgrading to the latest Wine
version?

http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log

Also, include the command line you are using.

No, but you can file a bug report. If this is continuously appearing on
the screen, then that could be the reason the screen is so slow.

Wine 1.3.21 with further DIB code was released on Friday. See if you
can find a copy for your Linux distribution. It might help fix the
problem you are having. If it does not help, file a bug report with as
much detail as possible.

go to www.winehq.org and click on the bugzilla tab.
You will need to create a second account (but it can have the same login
information as the Forums if you feel that this is safe)
Completely read all of the information on how to file a bug report.
Please INSURE that your report is unique and not a duplicate of an
existing report. If you have doubt that it is a dupe, file anyway.
Better a duplicate report than no report at all.
Please be patient. Most of the Wine development team are volunteers and
it may take time to find and fix problem code. If the bug goes AWAY
with a Wine release, please update it. Please update the report about
every three Wine releases if the bug is still present. Please update
the report if the bug changes (I had a white screen, now it is black.)
This does help.
