steam games not working

steam games not working

Hello I would like some help about 2 games


Team fotress 2, -> error: could not load library

Left4Dead 2 -> error: pure virtual function

Does anyone have already encoutered these problems?

I have disabled gameoverlay.dll and unchecked the option in steam.

Wine version? How did you install steam and your games?

I am using a preinstalled version of steam, the one I use on windows, and games are installed through steam.

wine version 1.3.18

You need to install it in Wine.

Installed a new steam, and redownloaded a clean TF2 installation and the problem is still the same, could not load library client.

Does TFT2 start if you lauch it outside of Steam? Have you read the
Applications Database entry for the game?

yes it launches, l4d too. Anyway trying to launch other source based games, they do, but the menu screen starts with the background...but moving windows around it becomes just black.

nobody? I just installed wine, removed .wine folder first, installed steam, than downloaded tf2 and disabled gameoverlayrender and it gives me only that error. could not load library client

Post complete terminal output. If it's too big use pastebin.
