How do I run a .com file through wine?

Post by Drowsy »

I've only just installed wine with the specific purpose of playing some of the old Wizardry games. However, these games come as .com files and not as .exe files. Will I be able to play them through wine?

Ok .com is a dos program not a windows one.

Wine does have dos layour just not a good one.

Dosemu and dosbox are better at running dos applications. Of course running it to find bugs in wine is fine. Just don't expect wine to run it well.

Thanks for the advice, guys. I've gone the DOSBOX route and it's working a treat. Ah, sweet nostalgia :)
