diagnosing sound problems in a particular app? Poker4Ever

I have sound in all my wine apps except for this one. Poker4Ever's poker client gives no love.

How can I go about trying to diagnose and/or fix it?

I've found hundreds of pages on what to do if wine has no sound, but that's not my problem ..

What version of Wine? If it's not the latest release (currently 1.3.0), upgrade. If it doesn't work in latest release, run it from a terminal and post whatever messages appear. http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#run_from_terminal

I think I'm stuck to using the 1.2 release, as it doesn't look like there are 1.3's in any of the available deb repos.
