Problem with F.E.A.R.2 DVD

Post by Berillions »

Hello,

I installed this game thanks to the DVD. So, when the installer ask me to place the 2nd DVD in the dvd drive, i can eject the first DVD.

So, i place the second DVD but after, the DVD is not mounted automaticaly.
I tried to launch this command : mount /dev/sr0 /media/cdrom but without success, the dvd2 is always umounted...

I can't install completly the game with this problem.

Thanks

Hello,

Thanks James McKenzie, with your command, the second DVD mounted correctly and i can to continue the installation.

But, it works correctly on Debian but no on Archlinux.
On Arch with this command, the second dvd is mounted but, the install ask me always the second dvd so i can't to continue the installation...

I ran into the same problem once, but i use Fedora. r So, rather than
using the DVD's, you could always copy the contents of your dvds into
a local folder and run the installer from there. That is always how i
install multiple DVD programs, sometimes they install quicker as an
added benefit.

just a tip.

Interesting. Since I'm a Mac kind of guy and my Linux experience is Red
Hat based, I have no idea why wine eject D: would not work. However,
did you mount the second disk and can it be seen from Linux in Arch?
