I have just started to use win on my mac, and I want to play Lord of the Rings, Battle for Middle Earth. Ive checked to see if the game is available for wine and it is. When I click on the game it takes about 2mins before this appears: the programme setup.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check appdb.winehq.org. If this problem is not present on Windows, report it at bugs.winehq.org.
Ive checked appdb.winehq.org. and it works for other people.
Thanks for your help

Second, can you run the LOTR installer to create a logging file per the
Wine FAQ at:

Please post the log file to a web site like pastebin.com and please
advise us of the URL so we can look at it.
The terminal program is located in the Applications folder, Utilties
sub-folder.
If you have questions about navigating the terminal please ask.
Also, the results in the Applications Database are OLD and should not be
relied upon (it states that on the page.)
