Trying to install FileMaker Pro 11 and it requires Windows Installer 4.5.. this has lead me down a very convoluted path.. I feel like I'm in Zork.. however.
suffice it to say the error I keep seeing pop up just before everything blows up is the following:
fixme:actctx:parse_depend_manifests Could not find dependent assembly L"Microsoft.Windows.Common-Controls" (6.0.0.0)
I've spent an hour or so googling around, to no avail. Seems like many people are having this problem, so there's a cold solace in that I am not a complete moron, however I still would like to get FileMaker Pro installed so my supervisors will stop complaining that I need to have a windows system.
Any ideas folks?
