No fonts in izotope RX

Post by todd_r »

Tried Izotope RX in wine 1.1.17, installs and starts up ok but none of the text appears

tried earlier in wine 1.0.1, but did not startup at all,

perhaps some fonts are missing?

found a couple of screenshots of how it should look

You might try Winetricks and installing the corefonts product.

Did you try both corefonts AND riched20? Then try gdiplus.

I've tried this now with wine 1.2 rc4, installed allfonts from winetricks, if you use native gdiplus and msvcrt all seems to work fine :)

Hey todd_r,

I noticed your question come down the wire and thought I'd offer some help. We don't do any testing of RX in a Wine environment and it's not officially supported there. I don't know much about the platform, but it's possible that Wine doesn't have support for GDI+. Under Windows, RX uses GDI+ to perform its font rendering. It uses the Tahoma font which should be installed by default on all versions of Windows.

Please make sure that the version of Wine you're using has GDI+ implemented or has Tahoma properly installed.

Oh, hey. I just read your last post. Glad to see it was resolved!

I'll keep my other post up for any other Wine users trying to use RX in case they also run into this issue.

Can you help the Wine project by either creating an Applications
Database entry or updating the existing one?

Thank you.
