problem when i try to run Borderlands Game

i got an error when i try to run this game and i think any game
it need MSVCP90.dll and another dll file that related to visual c++ 2008 library i try to install it using winetrick but not working
what i can do???

What exactly not working? What Wine version? Are you using new winetricks (it updates frequently).

Can't install why? Works fine here. You won't get anywhere without installing them.

If you really want people to help you, give details. "it does not work" doesn't tell us anything.

I'm having the same issue.

I've used winetricks to successfully install the visual c++ 2008 library.

I get the Borderlands splash screen then this error:

DO NOT do that. They will refuse to load from system32 directory.

but still not work the when i do

but when i try to start the game still request same libraries
and when i cheek system32 folder no sign for the files
and if i put them manually it is not working so what i should do???

They are installed under c:\windows\winsxs\...

if i put them manually it is not working so what i should do???

Don't put those files into system32 dir. They will refuse to load from there.

How exactly are you running your game? What exact command?

but how it does not recognize them when i start the game it will goes to system32 to check for files

First in winetricks install vcrun2008, vcrun2005, dotnet20
Make sure the game in uninstalled! not just failing but through setup, you've uninstalled it.

This should take care of securom- let the program it runs eat your cpu while you install.
This should make the game work, it didn't for me but I do lots of weird things. Give it a shot!

The same problem here. I tried to install by winetricks d3dx9, dotnet20, vcrun2005, vcrun2008 in uninstalled game.

But I dodn't kill vrcrun_x86.exe and dxsetup.exe as guide sais because I didn't see the process vrcrun_x86.exe and dxsetup didn't freeze.[/url]

I saw the process install.exe when in installation window the text was "Installing c++ 2005 redistructable" but didn't be in time to stop it. And I canceled the PhysX uninstallation.
