WoW Old windows install

Hello all!
i have my old install from when i used windows, but now i dont have it anymore... im runing everything just by ubuntu lucid lynx...
so i wanna know if its better to install all over again or if its better to use the old installation from my backup directory...
ive already tried to run the game and it worked fine.... i just had a bug with the mouse which would seem like the cursor was at the wrong spot in the screen ... i wanted to click here --->
id need to point the cursor like

here -->

also the game was not full screen... it was like a web page... the bottom and upper bar would still show... and i rly thing thats the reason i was taking that mouse issue....
and i had one more problem.... like when i was trying to walk by double button with the mouse the camera would turn all the way up.... so i had to walk by keyboard and that would be really annoying if ure into dungeons or something!

im enjoying linux and its communities a lot!
rly glad im into this! hope someday i can help ppl like u guys keep doing!

I use world of warcraft from my windows hdd and it works perfectly... that bug u have, happens to me in counter strike if gnome bars are visible and i'm playing in full screen, i just hide them and restart the game. or just play in windowed mode opengl. but i dont rly know if this is ur solution :P


wine 'C:/ur directory/Wow.exe' -opengl

when i navigate to the wow.exe dir i find this path
/home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos de programas/World of Warcraft

but when i try it on the shell itd say: "root@mandos-pc:/home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:# cd /home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos de programas/World of Warcraft
bash: cd: /home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos: Arquivo ou diretório não encontrado
"


which means it wouldnt find the path to the dir... now "Arquivos de programas" is my program files diretory and i must enter it then wow folder to be able to run the exe from the shell... =P
help plz =]

Notice that the path name got truncated at the first space. Path names
containing spaces must be treated specially to prevent the first space
from being taken as the end of the path name. There are three ways of
doing this. Take your pick. You can enclose the name on double quotes:

cd "/home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos de programas/World of
Warcraft"

or in single quotes:

cd '/home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos de programas/World of
Warcraft'

or you can escape the spaces:

cd /home/mandos/.wine/dosdevices/c:/Arquivos\ de\ programas/World\ of\
Warcraft

except for that after i close the game the screen resolution goes to 800x600 or something....
instead of the native one which im not sure what it is.. but for sure is something like 1024x7xx ...
how may i go back to native resolution without restarting ?

also... why cant i use alt+tab while playin ?
also... i should not close the terminal when runing programs with wine ?

What exactly are you trying to do, change windows (locations) or are you
trying to use a special feature of WoW? Remember you are in a Windows
program session, so Alt+Tab should function like it does in Windows.

Yes, if you are running the program from the terminal. Linux might
terminate all sub-processes when you kill the terminal window.

Within Wine or from the game to Linux/UNIX FireFox?

from the game to linux... its like i use teamspeak and ventrillo
and sometimes we gotta change some conf...
alt+tab wont work =/

Under gnome ctrl + alt + - or + to make the screen smaller or bigger
after leaving a game.
