Diablo II Patch 1.13c

Hi everyone.

I just downloaded Diablo II from the Blizzard homepage, because I've read that it works pretty well with wine. Unfortunately there came out the new Patch 1.13c in march this year and after installing this the game doesn't start anymore. Has anybody an idea how to fix this problem?

You could try reinstalling the game and holding off on installing the patch - if that is an option.

Unfortunately that's not an option, because the patch is necessary to play multiplayer games on battle.net.

Then could you give us some information - what Wine version are you using? If 1.0.1, please update to the latest version. If you already have the latest, give us the terminal output you get when trying to run the game.

I am using wine Version 1.1.31.
OS: Ubuntu 9.10 64bit

OK, my terminal output is here, looks as if it has some problem with my soundsystem, because it is searching for master control on my webcam...
