Hello!
I am not willing to start another thread about similar problem, so I am writing here. I am having a strange problem on Debian with wine (32,41,42) with
Access violation at address __ in module app_name.exe. Write of address __.

How can I "repair" such a problem? Wine gives no output in terminal.
I'll try to get some debugging out from it.
Thanks Mich

Edit is missing in this forum. :-(
Forgot to mention, that I was able to run this program in W7 and ubuntu lately (wine-41 or 42 too). Few times I saw this error in ubuntu, but I was able to run it. Am I missing some dlls or other MS stuff?

If you do that in the future your post will be removed.

At a minimum specify what program are you running? Also post complete terminal output.

There is a sticky post explaining why.

If you wouldn't be so pissed off, you would read my post correctly and know, that terminal gave no output.

Somehow I managed to run winedbg (yepee)

So, what is the program you are trying to run? Some of us try to keep
our mailboxes clean and really don't have the space to keep every last
message for the last year or so.

The other problem is that you really need to try this with a more
current version of Wine, unless you are certain that it ran with an
older version (wine-1.1.33 or earlier.) Then it is time for a
regression test to attempt to try and isolate which commit to Wine's
code that causes the problem. Without this, it is impossible to try and
figure out what is happening in some cases.

Thanks James, but I am really using 1.1.41 and 1.1.42 versions. Can be problem 64bit debian? I was using 32bits ubuntu. On other 32bit ubuntu, I can start it correctly.
Do you want me to paste whole big winedbg? There were many "pass"-es. I only showed one when it happened + it's predecessor.

Program is called TurAtlasCR.exe. No way you can know about it :-( It's a offline map viewer.

Ah, samosan, you underestimate the power of the most noble GOOGLE. It
can provide a lot of information on the different programs, even those
we are not supposed to know anything about.

However, we can assist if you provide the error messages through a
source such as pastebin.com and its knockoffs. This way you don't end
up 'spamming' the mailing list, and those who are interested can go
visit your error messages to provide assistance.

So, when are we going to be able to see those error messages through a
friendly URL?

Thank you, here it goes, link.
The main error is on the end about 3 or 4 times.
Sometimes (always except this run :-/ ) I get a message about no default printer set. Thanks for your interest :-)
