Installing multiple discs

Post by David Murphey »

I need help! I installed Winebottler, and installed the first disc of a 4 disc windows program on my mac book pro. But when I went to install disc 2 when prompted, I had to quit Winebottler to put the disc in. But I need Winebottler running to do the install. How do I do it? David Murphey

Winebottler is not supported here. This forum is for plain Wine.

To report problems using WineBottler, you have to use the Trac program
at Mike's site.

Yep, but even WineBottler users are entitled to search the Wine forum
and read the Wine FAQs. Multi-disk installs have been covered before.

We stopped reading your post right here.

WineBottler isn't supported here. I'm sorry. If you want help with
WineBottler, you have to go to its website.

I will tell you, however, that with ordinary Wine, the trick to ejecting
a disk with Wine running is the eject.exe program that Wine includes. To
run it, you just do:

wine eject <drive-letter>:

from Terminal.
