They work fine in 1.1.42. In 1.1.43, on my system, scrolling a document in Word crashes X. That's with the nVidia 185.18.14 driver; that's an older driver, and I haven't had a chance to test the newest one yet.

Upgrading to the nVidia 195.36.15 driver solved the crash. So the answer to your question is, yes, Word and Excel 2007 work in the latest Wine.

Just use Open Office, it's better than MSO
