Wine issues in general...

Post by willow »

I am running wine 1.1.29 for Linux, and I have no sound at all, regardless of the settings I have selected in the Wine sound menu. Is there any way that I can fix this?

Upgrade Wine; that version is old. For no sound, read the sticky at the top of the forum.

The same way you installed it in the first place: either through your distro's package manager, or build it yourself. If you're using a distro package, you will probably have to add another repository to get the latest Wine.

Now I've updated via YUM, I have 1.1.38. Thank you. I still have no sound. I should monitor the sticky for more details then?

Read sticky post about not sound with pulseaudio. If that still doesn't work, make sure nothing else is using sound.
