Force Unleashed and Steam won't run

It spent about 5 minutes doing the initial install (updating .NET) and now I get an error:

The program SWTFU Launcher.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

This can be caused by a problem in the program or a deficiency in Wine. You may want to check http://appdb.winehq.org for tips about running this application.

If this problem is not present under Windows and has not been reported yet, you can report it at http://bugs.winehq.org.

I don't see anything about using Steam and SWTFU, though. Anyone have any ideas to try?

shows how to get around the SWTFU Launcher.

I tried Force Unleashed without Steam, and the graphics
are really messed up. Haven't tried working around it yet.
Maybe it needs a better card than I have, but I have an nvidia 220,
which ought to be close to good enough...
