problem entering text

I'm on centos 5.1 using wine 0.5.60. With most of the apps i try to run, text does not work. Programs like maketorrent 2.1, emule etc. Firefox linux works fine.

I'm not sure whats causing this problem because it was working fine earlier.

All the programs seem to freeze the moment i try to type something. Mouse actions work fine though.

Sounds nasty. Maybe it's something you installed in wine,
say some native DLL that came with an app. Try
a fresh start by removing or renaming your .wine directory
and reinstalling the apps.

Try downgrading to an earlier version of wine and let us know if that helps.

Yep that worked. 0.9.54 worked for rhel.

0.9.57 didn't work.

There weren't any versions in between.
