Text input not recognized

I'm running a program called WinPDrums. It triggers a drum sound on every key press. It is supposed to show, what key was pressed in a box, but it just shows some weird characters. Here's a screenshot: http://img164.imageshack.us/img164/8185 ... hotbq2.png
