PhysX on 64bit systems

Hello all. Has anyone managed to install PhysX on a 64bit Karmic system? I'm running on the 185.18.36 NVIDIA drivers and wine 1.1.32 and keep getting the following error while trying to install (either using the game's installer or through the exe downloaded from the NVIDIA site):

err:msi:ACTION_CallDllFunction failed to load dll L"C:\\windows\\temp\\msi939.tmp" (998)

Any help? Thanks a ton...

Install it with winetricks.

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I had tried winetricks as well. I get the same error:

err:msi:ACTION_CallDllFunction failed to load dll L"C:\\windows\\temp\\msi95d.tmp" (998)

Any help?

Upgrade, latest Wine is wine-1.1.33

Upgrading to 1.1.33 does not seem to make a difference either. The error message again comes up:

err:msi:ACTION_CallDllFunction failed to load dll L"C:\\windows\\temp\\msi66a4.tmp" (998)

If installer doesn't work just copy required dlls from windows.

Wine 1.2.34 seems to fix it. I've just install PhysX )

Yup, 1.1.34 and the latest winetricks seem to fix the physx issue.

Hi

I installed Dragon Age through Crossover Games 8.1.4, but at the end it suddenly quits when it tries to install PhysX. With the error message saying "You may want to check http://appbd.winehq.org for tips about running this application."

The game runs but the Graphics Detail must be set at Low or else it will crash.

How can I install PhysX with Crossover Games?

Crossover isn't supported here. This forum is for plain Wine. Ask on the Crossover forum.

As a previous post said, in plain Wine, use winetricks to install PhysX.

UBuntu 10.04 Wine 1.3.0

Physx works ideal , i play in UT3 , ME, DA Origins, Risen.

I Install damned Batman - Asylum and he removes my working PhysX and trying autoinstall his crap

How to restore PhysX?

Fault Install PhysX via winetricks.

im restoring physx from acronis backupped file

i restore files: drive-c-users-al drive-c-users-Public Program Files windows
system.reg user.reg userdef.reg
and PhysX now works - total 5gb's
