Don't know where to report/ask this but wine crashes every time I exit out of any game, I'm guessing its not steam cause it happens with the rest of the games. When programs crash they hang and I have to enter System Monitor and kill the process or I'll run in to even more problems.

I think the only game that crashes on exit for me is F.E.A.R. (or one of them in that series) and that's a known issue. Unless it's a new problem to the latest version of wine or the specific version of the game you're running, I'd guess it's something with the wine configuration, which covers quite a bit (and isn't very helpful :/).. It's been about 9 months since I've played anything in steam, but I don't ever remember seeing any crashes on exit.

Perhaps there's some WINEDEBUG you can enable to see what's going on or maybe you could try with a new ~/.wine? I make a different wine directory for each game/series by setting the WINEPREFIX environment variable. Then if something bad happens in one it won't affect the others.

Weird part about this is everything crashes but Steam its the only program that wont crash when I exit out of it. I'm using wine-1.1.25 cause 26 corrupts something that doesn't allow me to downgrade so I haven't installed it. Hmm did you run in to Sound Hardware Accelerations with F.E.A.R.? I still can't get sound on it I know it works cause I can hear the sound effects when the WB and Monolith come up, I got a few replies on the other post I had but I don't think that's my problem. Oh well like always any help/advice would be great.

Yeah, there are few regressions related to that with latest Wine versions. I think some of those should be fixed now. Try git or wait few days for wine-1.1.27.
