Starnge error message when trying to run Spotify with Wine

Post by rockdude »

Hi,
I've installed Spotify in Linux following the instructions at spotify.com. When I try to start it through wine I get a strange message and Spotify won't open at all. This is how it looks:

Does anyone know that this strange "error"-message is trying to say?
I'm running Linux Slitaz on an old Compaq Armada 100S, 533mhz processor and 192mb RAM. I've tried running Spotify on Xubuntu Linux with the same computer and the same error-message appears.

Cheers

Wine version (wine --version)? Post complete terminal output ( http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log )

I'm using wine 1.0.1

The only output I can see in terminal is:
"ALSA lib seq_hw.c:457:(snd_seq_hw_open) open /dev/snd/seq failed: No such file ordirectory"
....and then the strange error-message pops up.

I can hear sound when clicking "Test Sound" in winecfg.

When I change to OSS driver the Alsa output-message in terminal disappears, but the strange popup is still there.

Try upgrading to a newest Wine version (wine-1.1.26).
