Hello friends! I am Brazilian, so excuse me for any errors in english!

We are deploying the Ubuntu 9.04 here in the company, and I am trying to make the softwares used by various sectors of the business work.

Basically there are three software. Two of them I did work. The third has not.

This is the software for payroll (www.novosistema.com.br). First he nor hinders ... Then install the packages gecko, jet40 and MDAC28 by winetricks.

The program has come, however was an error in a file. Ocx (MSCAL.ocx). So I installed the packages wsh56 and native_oleaut32.

After that did not give more errors, however when printing, generate a file with more than 50 megabytes ... To resolve this problem I installed the packages mls31, riched20 and riched30.

Currently I can access the program and does not give any error. However, the program does not issue reports ... By pressing to generate a report, the status bar starts to move, but for once and hangs. But just squeezing in to cancel the program back to work.

After so many wins, I would not give up so easily ... If anyone has any idea of what I do, I'll be very grateful!

According to the developers the database uses the language ACCESS. I tried to install the package art2kmin, but the principle does not have any effect. If you need any further information, let me know!

I do not know what the relationship, but after installing the packages dotnet20 and directx9, reports began to be implemented. However, they are executed only once. When trying to issue a new report, back to point zero ...

My wine version is 1.1.26

If Wine writes anything to the console while it is running, post it
here. (This has instructions: http://wiki.winehq.org/FAQ#get_log ). If
the output is long, post it on http://pastebin.com/ and post a link to
it here.

A log without dotnet20 & directx, a log of a working attempt and a log
of a failing attempt (with the relevant things installed) might
provide the most information.

You should install the minimum required to get things working with
winetricks. Note that some of the things available with winetricks may
require a Winodws license to legally use.

http://wiki.jswindle.com/index.php/WINEPREFIX has instructions for a
method that allows you to have multiple installations of the same
program with different settings (which can be really useful for
testing). You can do a basic install, copy the WINEPREFIX, change
something and stil have the unmodified prefix availabe to try
something else without reinstalling.

I can give some reports ... Others do not ... Sometimes it sends one or two reports, and then not issue more ... It seems that is locked, but when you click cancel, it returns to work ... Anyway ... It happened the same thing before, but do not have to install the packages directx9 and dotnet20 ...

Just pointing out that the log does not change when making a successful attempt to report, or if unsuccessful ... So, no more line to be added ...

I'm not very good at reading the logs, someone else might probably say
something completely different... (There is no quicker way to get
correct advice than giving out completely wrong advice

)

It probably makes sense to try and find out which controls the GUIDs
in the logs belong to. I would guess registering them might help....

I don't found {6c736db1-bd94-11d0-8a23-00aa00b58e10} in myplugins.info

Second error:

AFAIK, you need to register the control. (I'm assuming it is a COM
control of some kind)

I'm not sure if the process is correct for this case:
AFAIK it involves getting the DLL / OCX with the conrol on your PC and
running regsvr32 with the DLL as parameter. (warning: My knowledge of
COM / DCOM / ActiveX is mostly a high-level overview and someone else
would probably be able to provide better advice)

IIRC I saw thast some of those interface GUIDs may be related to
database stuff (don't have the page nearby, was either Jet / Access /
MDAC / DAO / ODBC) which you might be able to fix with winetricks. (It
is probably a good idea to start over with a clean WINEPREFIX, back up
the prefix, install one of these components at a time as test)
Wientricks should be used sparingly, since some of the DLLs that it
install can cause some problems. (Other things that you might want to
try (on at a time) with Winetricks is DCOM98)

If you post the full log on a clean WINEPREFIX, someone else might be
able to figure out which winetricks packages might help. (Use pastebin
if it is long)
