Is there a way to make a fresh wine install?
You might remove (or rename) your /home/<user>/.wine
He might also want to try installing the winetricks packages before
installing the program as well.
Code: Select all
mv $HOME/.wine $HOME/.wine{,.backup}
wine notepad
Try to use notepad to write and print a document
Close notepad
Code: Select all
winetricks dotnet20 vcrun2005 vcrun2005sp1
Install program.
Try to run program.
Post back console output or (preferred) post it to pastebin and then
post the URL here.

Pastebin is a place where you can post lengthy text and is the common
name for pastebin.com.
There are several sites where you can post graphics and then give us the
URL so we can go look. Screenshot additions are not allowed on Wine Forums.

What do you mean with 'miss'? Do you mean it doesn't work when you click it? if that's it, that's normal over here. I had already setup my wine perfectly up to the point which you reached. Basically -- no the game is not working. What you see is the launcher app working (except for the buttons).

I mean I can't see it, it simply isn't there.
And no you are right, the other buttons don't work either when I push them :/

Oh, my bad then! Do you see the install button? Did you really reinstall thed application like James McKenzie suggested?
That sounds like a bad install or something. Sorry I can't be of more help.

No, I did not make a reinstall, but will try it out in one of the nearest days. I have got used to the thought about the game not working

Then that's probably it! The registry keys or something other that directly depends on your install (if you DID start with a clean .wine dir) are not there anymore.

Until further debugging, I don't know why they don't work, BUT you can launch the application itself (not the menu). That's what I do.

No. Like I said in my first post ever in this thread, the game launches with the aforementioned errors.
