Nvidia 8400 Gs not detected correctly

I'm running an Nvidia geforce 8400 GS 512 Mb card, but when i go into the oblivion options, under the Graphics adapter tab it shows me Geforce 8300 Gs whcih is a motherboard which I assume has some sort of GPU onboard.
This would explain the subpar framerates im getting.
Could it be perhaps my powersupply? Its an old 300W.

Best bet is to set the card ID/Vendor and graphics Vidmem under HKCU/Software/Wine/Direct3D using regedit if you haven't already plus the other 3D options.

I'm using 1.1.21 which no longer requires that to be done.
there isnt even a Direct£D registry key anymore.

The exact gpu isn't important. Games only this info for some basic presets. Don't worry about it. We only report a limit number of cards (opengl doesn't export the pci id).
