Steam games won't launch

Hi. I've an issue with wine 1.1.18 on FC10 X86_64 and Steam games.

My steam folder is /mnt/windows. It's a NTFS partition.

Steam launch is ok. Fonts are anormal but ... That's run.

But no game will launch. I had "preparing to launch". But nothing after. No error message , nothing. Same with CSS, TF2, PVKR2, HL2.

I've already read the AppDB and i've not seen this issue.

Help me please

Read HOWTO on AppDB page for steam: http://appdb.winehq.org/objectManager.p ... n&iId=1554

You can not run Steam games directly from NTFS partition.

The following link has a lot of info on how to get Steam and Half Life 2 working on Linux. Its from an Ubuntu site, but should be helpful for any Linux distro. Some of the replies have great links as well.

I wrote a how-to on installing the Orange Box (from DVDs) a while back. It was based off of Ubuntu 7.10 but most of the information is still relevant (installing the nvidia driver is much easier in Ubuntu now...just click a button).

Oh no , it's ok now ... From my ntfs partition. I've need to install more libs like nvidia but i386 and not X86_64. I've got CSS running @ 70fps. Not fast , but it's playable.

Only can't play @TF2 with the last patch.

I can play @BF2 too from a Ntfs partition.
