Does wine work on gNewSense?
gNewSense is a free distribution based on Ubuntu.

gMaybe. Try it out. Otherwise just grab the wine source and build it that way.

It's based on Ubuntu, so it's very likely that the Ubuntu DEBs and repo just work with it. Of course, compiling from source almost always works on Linux systems.
