USB For Beginners

Post by johnywhy »

any patient person out there can explain to a total noob how to use a windows usb device, with a windows driver, via wine?

according to http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t ... hlight=usb, i have to make some sort of entry in the "dosdevices" directory from your serial port to the com port. i think. no, that's just for modems.

my device is a video capture device.

i'm hoping there is some universal usb support, for any kind of windows driver. according to http://forum.winehq.org/viewtopic.php?t ... hlight=usb, there will be, someday, maybe.
