Net Framework 2.0 instal problems.

I recently started using Ubuntu, and I downloaded WINE last night. I also Downloaded 3 different installs of Net Framework 2.0. Neither worked, stopping at the same point of install. Basically, it starts configuring the installs, then it just pops up with an Microsoft Error Report. Like in Windows XP when a program freezes.

There is no code in the report, it just says whats being sent. I downloaded the 1.1 version, and that loaded fine I believe. It said it loaded fine, but we know how that works.

So, what do I do? I tried 3 different downloads with the same problem, and I need the 2.0 for the games I need. They won't load till Framework is loaded.

How do I do this?

Did you check appdb first?

Do you need .net for something in particular?

Well, I play a couple games online. I tried loading one, and it kept saying it needed the Framework. Which ironically is more messed up now then before. I messed up on the download, still used to Windows, and I cancelled it by restarting without thinking. Reloaded Ubuntu, and now it won't download it because theres an error and it wants me to rename the Winetricks file. >_> And I can't figure it out. I rename it, and it won't work. I leave it alone, it says rename it. I deleted it, redownloaded it, same problem .

So I guess Ill have to do my first Ubuntu reinstall within the first 30 hrs of using it. >_<

Do not do that. Read the FAQ
then delete your wine prefix.
