Spore no-go

Post by styleruk »

What on earth has happened to spore. It used to work fine with wine 1.1.12, no real problems. Picked it up today to have a game and nothing, it tries to load and don't even get to the front screen.
I have wine 1.1.16 and have downgraded to 1.1.13 with no joy.
I have Nvidia graphics driver 177, downgraded to 173 and no joy.

That is a shame, I did enjoy that game and now it's not working. Can anyone suggest anything?

I use, Ubuntu 8.10

OK, that's interesting and I may have a go at that tonight. However, even if I go back to 1.1.12, it still does not work, so it's not anything that the update has done.
